Ordering information

Creating a high-quality original work of art is my objective as well as customer satisfaction with the final portrait. For best results, make sure photo is very clear. (Portraits can only be a good as the original photo!) Photographs taken in natural light (without a flash) provide the best quality reference for drawings. Your photo should be large enough to see the whites of the eyes clearly.

Photos can be emailed to me for review to determine if it is acceptable for a portrait at no charge. To mail photos through the mail, please request my address by email. If your photo needs to be digitally cropped (for close ups, etc.), I will email you the cropped photo for approval before beginning your portrait.

Separate photos can be used to create a portrait. You can mail me several people in one photo, or separate photos and I will combine them in one custom portrait.

Any special instructions should also be emailed to me such as size required, background details, number of people, etc.  Once the portrait is complete, I will email you a photo of it for review. Changes can be made on pencil portraits at this point if desired.   Your complete satisfaction is my goal, and I am sure that you will be pleased with the artwork.  However, should you be unhappy with it after reviewing it online, there is no further obligation.  I will keep it and return your photos at my expense.   The deposit (mentioned below) is not refundable.

A 30% deposit is required prior to beginning your portrait. Payment can be made through US mail by check or money order, or through the PayPal service. (Checks, money orders or credit cards accepted.)

Please allow at least 2-3 weeks once deposit and photos are provided to receive your finished artwork.

Drawings are completed on acid-free, high quality paper & will be shipped in mailing tubes or flat with protective packaging.  All portraits are sprayed with a clear fixatif to prevent smudges & protect the finished artwork.  Your drawing will fill approximately 80% of the paper which will allow room for matting.  The frame size you choose should be at least one size up from portrait sizes shown on pricing page.   All original photos will be returned with the finished portrait. For any other questions, please contact me.
